1 in 5 teens who regularly socialize on the Internet have encountered a stranger who requested cybersex;

83% of high school girls have been pinched, sexually touched or grabbed against their will by their peers;

2/3 of births to teenage girls are fathered by adult men age 20 and older.
What We've Accomplished
-
Last year, rape crisis centers across Pennsylvania
served 36,000 individuals; of which close to 10,000
were children and youth under the age of 18.

Sexual assault counselors spent more than 228,000
hours working with victims and their families.

Prevention educators reached over 480,000 students
and provided over 21,000 school programs.

Prevention educators also provided more than 3,000
community programs reaching over 68,000 individuals.
At the state and national level:

Instrumental in effecting changes in Pennsylvania state laws such as the Rape Shield law, marital rape, and "no means no" legislation.

Development and implementation of innovative training and educational materials used nationwide.

Creation and operation of the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) located in Enola, PA.
